Dead Island 2 Review Dead Island 2 is the long-awaited follow-up from the first Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide from Deep Silver and developed by Dambuster Studios. While original developer Techland was originally set to work on the sequel, they instead focused on Dying Light 2. With a less-than-ideal development cycle that took a couple of studios and many years in between, we finally have this sequel that fans have been dying (heh) for. In Dead Island 2, the zombie outbreak has ravaged Los Angeles, and its residents fight tooth and nail to evacuate. With an evacuation plane set to transport survivors, everything goes to hell when an infected find their way onboard, resulting in a plane crash that kicks off the whole adventure for our cast of survivors. After nearly a decade in development, we can finally experience the sequel as it’s meant to be played. Was it…

All players can look forward to two free new districts, three more quality-of-life updates, and a Dead Island 2-inspired cosmetic pack. Starting on April 11, players will gain access to the free Dead Island 2 Pack, where players can dress their boss with items from reckless antihero Jacob or quick-witted athlete Amy. They can also apply shock and awe with a new weapon, stagger with swagger with a new emote, and evoke bitey beachside memories with an iconic pink flamingo hat and Carver the Shark statue for their HQ. The biggest free update for Saints Row comes in May with Sunshine Springs, a brand-new district being added to Santo Ileso, alongside a swathe of quality-of-life changes (such as overhauled combat, Selfie Mode and more) and improvements. On the same day,…

Saints Row Review Saints Row is a reboot of the popular Saints Row series by Volition and Deep Silver. It moves away from the saga of Johnny Gat to a new generation of “start-up” criminals who adopt the Saints moniker and start their own new saga to make their mark on the world. After being unceremoniously dismissed from a position at Marshall Securities and struggling to pay rent, the protagonist, along with friends Eli, Neenah, and Kevin, tries to figure out what the future holds for them. Realizing their potential as a group, the (new) Saints are born after some high-speed hijinks that involve the usual Saints Row trimmings. As they build The Saints to a level of renown, their past catches up with them, as previous employers and rival gang members make an attempt on their life and business. Will Saints Row make the same mark as the previous…

Deep Silver and Volition have announced the full system requirements needed to run Saints Row. Just a couple of days ahead of its release, interested players can now check if their rig can handle the upcoming action-adventure game. Overall, the PC system requirements needed to play Saints Row are pretty decent, especially for the minimum and recommended settings. We’re imagining that a big number of players will be able to meet at least the recommended settings of a GTX1070 at 12GB of RAM, and a bit of a push will get them to the next level, needing an RTX2080 and 16GB of RAM. Saints Row gets a bit dicey at Ultra Settings, needing an RTX 3080Ti and 16GB of RAM to play at 4K 60FPS, so this setting might be reserved for those with truly powerful rigs. Either way, players of almost all budgets can most likely enjoy the game…

In anticipation of the upcoming Saints Row Reboot, Volition and Deep Silver are coming up with a demo called the Boss Factory that will give players the ability to play around with the outrageous customization suite of the game. The demo is scheduled to release *checks notes* today (!) and is free to download on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Epic Games. We got to try out the demo ahead of time and while it isn’t actual gameplay of the upcoming title, the customization suit really goes all out into some crazy territory that can result in some of the best-looking (or weirdest) bosses around Santo Ileso. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHHgTmdjyl0 Related – Read our Saints Row Gameplay Preview Coming from the previously released customization trailer of the game, fiddling around with the Boss Factory settings may feel basic at first glance. Just shortly after the successful release of Dying Light 2, Techland is already hiring up for a number of positions for their upcoming “unannounced AAA open-world action-RPG in a fantasy setting“. Apart from a concept art image that was shared, there’s very little we know of from this latest project. We do know that the talented team at Techland can indeed create an engaging open-world setting, so fans of Dying Light can look forward to this new game. Look – Concept art for Techland’s new game Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka shared a few words about this development: We’re very happy with what we have accomplished with the Dying Light franchise so far. Moreover, our journey with Dying Light 2 Stay Human has only just begun as we plan to support this game for at least 5 years, with its scope and size matching, if not exceeding, what we have provided…

Saints Row is getting a reboot, and while some fans are not quite sold on the initial look and feel of the game, a customization showcase was recently shown by Deep Silver and Volition that will give fans what they want. Saints Row will feature a massive and best-in-class customization suite that is only limited by your imagination, giving you the ultimate freedom to express yourself in Santo Ileso. If you can think it, you can customize, leading to outlandish designs – from body parts to cars and even firearms, anything can be tweaked. If that’s not enough, you can even customize your character even further, down to the sticker on their private parts. Everything is fair game as it lets players choose their own definition of cool. This is certainly a step in the right direction for the game as it brings back one of its hallmark features that…
