The Atari 2600 LEGO set is all Kinds of Awesome and Nostalgic

Atari’s 50th anniversary is a huge milestone for the company, and they are celebrating by collaborating with LEGO to create a brick-based replica of the iconic Atari 2600 model.

If you think this is all just something for display, LEGO has added some special touches that really ups the nostalgia factor.

The LEGO Atari 2600 is an accurate representation of the classic, complete with equally classic game cartridges such as Adventure, Asteroids, and Centipede. The LEGO kit also It also contains a diorama, with a panel opening up to reveal a scene that’s seemingly lifted from years ago.

The cartridges featured in LEGO’s brick style recreates iconic scenes from the games, including the dragon and castle from Adventure, Asteroids with the tiny ship, and finally Centipede featuring… a centipede.

The set is composed of 2,532 pieces and has gone the extra mile to feature a wooden effect to recreate the system. The LEGO Atari 2600 also includes movable switches and a port to insert the cartridges into.

The Lego Atari 2600 has an SRP of $239.99 (around PHP14,000) when it goes on sale in Lego stores and online on August 1, 2022.
