Following the announcement that the game was going to be delayed to October, Warner Bros. Games have released a new Back 4 Blood trailer that details a new card system that will offer a huge amount of replay value, keeping each game fresh and unique.

The trailer walks us through a variety of cards that can enhance the experience of playing the game, each with skills that will help you and your team overcome the horde.

The game will have an adaptive AI called the Game Director “which works behind-the-scenes monitoring the actions, health, and choices of players. It responds accordingly by changing environmental conditions, adding obstacles, and unleashing special Ridden mutations through Card System modifiers known as Corruption Cards. Players can change up the gameplay by utilising specific cards to strategise against the Game Director, from amplifying equipment to reloading weapons, as they take on hordes of enemies in their path.”

Back 4 Blood will be available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC on October 12, 2021.
