With so many popular game properties coming to Netflix in the form of animation shows, let’s remember the show that started it all, Castlevania.

With season 4 now in the books, the highly popular Castlevania anime is getting a spinoff on Netflix following its explosive run. While we still want more to the stories of Trevor, Sypha, Alucard, and the others, it’s about time that Richter gets to stand in the spotlight for this next outing.

Announced during the Netflix Geeked Week special, the spinoff of the series will be set during the French Revolution and it will star Richter Belmont and Maria Renard. If those names sound familiar, you may remember them from the much beloved Symphony of the Night classic on the PlayStation. Would we be seeing more of Alucard as well?

Are you excited for this spinoff? I surely am, and we hope to hear more of it from Netflix sooner rather than later.
