Platformers aren’t exactly my cup of tea, but I know a good one when I see one. Astro’s Playroom really cranks up what I expect to find in a platformer and art installments like Ori and the Blind Forest really make you pause and go “is that how competitive the market is these days?” When the Little Nightmares II trailer dropped, I was quickly reminded of Limbo and Inside, a couple of personal favorites. So when the demo became available, I downloaded it and played it right away. A Whole Lot Of Nope Sure enough, I haven’t felt this tense since Resident Evil VII and while it really reminds me of Inside to a fault, there’s something about this game that draws you in and asks you to trust it, before it puts you in a highly stressful situation leaving you only with your wits and cunning to get through…

Returnal is ramping up their promotions machine, first with their Housemarque Housecast Episode 3 detailing their combat systems taking advantage of the Dualsense controller. Now, a new trailer on the PlayStation Blog has been released, showcasing some rather impressive gameplay that highlights various weapons and equipment that will help you on your journey. https://youtu.be/EB5HCcKcLNQ From what we can see in the trailer, it details what we can expect from the status HUD that aids us in this roguelike bullet hell experience. First highlights the weapons loadout, and just like Hades and other roguelike games, we could only take one primary weapon in our runs. Also from the trailer, it shows the Tachymatic Carbine, which works like common assault rifle with an Shockstream alt-fire that fires a charged energy blast. As seen from the Housemarque episode, you could activate that in the Dualsense by squeezing the L2 button and half-pressing said…

The time has finally come. We knew it would happen sooner or later and today is the day that Matteo Guidicelli finally gets his hands on the PlayStation 5. In case you didn’t know, Matteo, a local celebrity, had a previous PS4 unboxing that was quite a “shocking” one by unboxing standards, which you can see here. Long story short, he totally rips of the outer sleeve of the product, which isn’t the usual way to open it up. The way he handles the system is also not what you would expect for a console. But we’re not here for his old video. We’re here for his brand new PlayStation 5 unboxing, which as you can guess, could be as trigger-inducing as his previous PlayStation 4 video. Some images before calamity, as the meme says… Yikes! He even places his mic on the box for that ASMR feel while ripping…

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, is one of the best Star Wars game in recent memory, of course other than Star Wars Squadrons. The update basically pumps up the resolution and frame rate for the next-gen consoles, ensuring buttery smooth gameplay while making it look better than it already is. The creator of Maneater probably thought about combining Grand Theft Auto with Pacman but with a shark. It’s an entertaining and unique open world ShaRkPG as it is being marketed as, and it is loads of fun. While it’s not really an easy sell, with PS Plus offering Maneater for free on the PS5, why the hell not? After a few hours of playing this game, it’s a whole lot of fun when you get used to the controls and the quirky world narrated by a trashy reality show host. This guide will show you how to get started with this unique game in the hopes that you have as much fun with it as we did when we tried it out. Know Your Nutrients Your future megalodon levels up with the amount of creatures eaten throughout her quest for revenge. There are four base nutrients you could consume to…

While Sony and the PlayStation 5 did not blow away social media in CES 2021 this year, a sizzle reel following a talk by Sony Interactive Entertainment President Jim Ryan revealed some release window dates at the end of the video. Blink and you’ll miss it. See the “fine” print down below? That’s a lot of titles upcoming for the PlayStation 5 and a lot of release windows to go along with it. With the obvious out of the way: Hitman 3 is due out January 20, Returnal will launch on March 19, and Ratchet and Clank along with Horizon Forbidden West are still out with an unspecified date for 2021. This is when things get interesting, with the Pragmata release date set for 2023. The Capcom site is still showing a 2022 release, but we’ll find out more later. As for the other titles: Kena: Bridge of Spirits is…

Days Gone has left PS Now (although you can still get it from the PS Plus Collection!), and in its place, three games are being offered on the service as a replacement. The Crew 2 leads the charge of PS Now’s offerings for this month, which includes other games like Frostpunk: Console Edition and Surviving Mars. That’s a pretty diverse list of great games to sink your teeth into if you are subscribed to the service and they are now available! The Crew 2 https://youtu.be/8v41ydEe-gY Frostpunk: Console Edition https://youtu.be/6-1KRSoTMr4 Surviving Mars https://youtu.be/WqbGKdGYuQ0 Of course, these are available only if you are on the PS Now subscription service, which costs $9.99 (around PHP500) every month for access to a library of games that you can play on demand.

God of War Ragnarok, the next installment in the highly acclaimed series, is a title we know very little of at the moment. Apart from the initial reveal, there hasn’t been a word from the devs apart from saying that it’ll release in 2021, this year. Well, an ex-Santa Monica emplyoee has said that it will release on the PS4 as well. As Tweeted by Joe Miller, David Jaffe says on his stream that “Oh I’m sure the next God of War will be PS4 PS5. Of course it will.”, leading players to believe that it could very well be a cross-gen title similar to Horizon Forbidden West and Miles Morales. Who is David Jaffe? Well, he was the Director of God of War and Creative Director for God of War II. https://twitter.com/JoeMiller101/status/1346803237698080770 Before anyone gets too excited, Jaffe isn’t speaking in an official capacity, because he hasn’t been with…

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is a breathtaking and nostalgic RPG. It was good enough that an upgrade was released years after, and filled with enough new features that even players of the vanilla game are encouraged to return to the world Erdrea and rejoin the Luminary and his companions on their grand adventure. The journey of the Luminary to defeat the Dark One and save the world is going to be long and fraught with dangers. And any experienced adventurers would tell you to always plan and prepare before anything else. Newcomers to the Dragon Quest series may be in for some unfamiliar mechanics. So here are some things that you should know to get you started on your quest in Dragon Quest XI S – Definitive Edition. Resurrect your Party Members Obvious at first glance, yes, but unlike some games of its genre where party…

2021, a year that we will unfairly entrust with so much hope. Most of us will probably have a better chance of acquiring next gen consoles by then, so it’s already looking better than 2020! As the new year comes, new games will also come and with it, a hope that they will be good as far as trailers and advertisements go (looks at Cyberpunk 2077). There’s a lot to look forward to, but here are ten games that will hopefully make 2021 a better year for everyone. Bravely Default II Release Date: February 26, 2021Platform: Nintendo SwitchAlmost a full year after the release of its content-rich demo back in April 2020, sort of like an appetizer for Final Fantasy VII: Remake, Bravely Default II makes its debut on the Nintendo Switch to give about 100-or-so hours of distraction while the rest of us plebs wait for our next-gen console,…

Cyberpunk 2077’s third hotfix update 1.06 fixes that dreaded file corruption glitch on the PC where if your files go over 8MB, there is a possibility that your file will be permanently corrupted. Needless to say, the game was launched as a buggy mess, but there’s a particular “bug” that is rather helpful and will greatly benefit you if you plan to collect and buy everything Night City has to offer. The infamous Cyberpunk 2077 “money hack” is quite possibly the most useful glitch by far, and here’s how to do it. https://youtu.be/2CDOHsvnktI What you will need is the Untitled 18, Brancesi 2021 Painting acquired from the side job “Space Oddity”. You can easily find it in San Domingo at Act Two where you can find a bunch of bums tinkering with a laptop they found at a nearby dumpster. You can take it from them by force (you need…
