It’s been quite a while since we last heard anything about Final Fantasy VII, much longer actually if we’re talking about the remake. After the release of Intergrade and the Yuffie DLC, things have been quiet over at Square Enix about Part II. If things go our way, we might finally be getting news about it next month!

Speaking during the Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier Half Anniversary Special, Tetsuya Nomura revealed that some news regarding the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII will be announced next month. There was no explicit statement that it will be about the remake, but we’re hoping that some info will be revealed about Part II, especially about its release date.

Apart from Part II, we haven’t heard too much news about Final Fantasy XVI as well, so the next few months could be quite exciting for Final Fantasy fans in general.

Do you think Part II of the remake will release this year?
