Ghost of Tsushima players have petted over 8 million foxes in the game

It would be quite an understatement to say that Ghost of Tsushima is a success for Sucker Punch and Sony. Not only is the game receiving high praise from Japanese executives, it has also set a new sales record for PS4 new IP’s. A lot of people have been playing and there are numbers to back it up.

As announced by the PlayStation Twitter Account, Ghost of Tsushima players over the first 10 days of the game have logged some very impressive stats and unsurprisingly, they’ve made massive use of the very impressive photo mode of the game, all while petting a LOT of foxes along the way.

Check out some of the crazy stats below:

These are some insane numbers, considering only the first 10 days of the game. A huge number of people definitely loved the Standoff feature that Sucker Punch has introduced to the game, and with its robust photo mode that is recognized as one of the best photo mode implementations out there, everyone has been taking stunning captures of their efforts to rid the island of Mongol Rule.

While interesting, we’d also like to see numbers on how many times we died to airborne arrow barrages or even how many times we’ve sacrificed our horse to get to the next platform.

Ghost of Tsushima is now available exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
