Ahead of its March 25 launch, a free visual novel adventure called Ghostwire: Tokyo – Prelude is now available for the PS4 and PS5, which will give players a chance to find out more about its supernatural story and setting.
Announced on the PlayStation Blog, the prelude visual novel tells the story of KK, a detective investigating mysterious events six months before the time when the game takes place.
Game Director Kenji Kimura shares that “By having people experience and enjoy the events that occurred before the events in [GT] through a different genre made by a different team, it could help open up and widen people’s interpretations of the world and universe we’ve created.”
The visual novel adventure is certainly worth trying out, as scenario Writer Takahiro Kaji says that “By understanding KK a little better through [GT – Prelude], the player would be able to gain more perspective and see another side to KK’s dialogue in [GT].”
Ghostwire: Tokyo is scheduled for a March 25, 2022 release for the PlayStation 5 and PC.
