God of War devs hiring for a new ‘unannounced’ title

God of War 2018 was one of the defining games of the last console generation. It has received universal acclaim from nearly everyone and has propelled the franchise, as well as Santa Monica Studio, to even greater heights. The team is currently working on the next installment presumably called God of War Ragnarok, so a safe assumption could be made that they’re working full force on it to ship it out this year. Although, as a recent job posting implies, the team is ready to start working on a brand new unannounced title.

Based on this latest job listing, Santa Monica Studio is looking for an Art Director that can “coordinate large teams of artists across multiple subject areas to execute on the creative promise for a large-scale new project.” which has yet to be announced. The candidate must also have 10 years of recent experience developing real-time 3d videogame artwork and has shipped at least 1 AAA game title in an Art Lead or Art Director role, so you can imagine that this new project is indeed going to be quite a big one.

Will it be something to follow up on Ragnarok? Something completely original? There’s no information to go on at the moment but if any of their previous works are concerned, then it’ll surely be something we can look forward to.

Got any wish as to what the next title should be?
