Gran Turismo 7 Celebrations Go All-Out In Southeast Asia

March 4 is a special day for many reasons, but for gamers in particular, it means the return of the highly-anticipated Gran Turismo 7. The game has received high praise from a lot of critics, calling it a stunning return to form. Naturally, Sony Interactive Entertainment Singapore is going all-out with the festivities, which is fitting for the return of the much-heralded franchise.

As part of the global celebrations for Gran Turismo 7, a special livestream was aired yesterday to promote the launch of the game and featured automotive and motorsport personalities in Southeast Asia: Bobby Tonelli (Singapore), Claire Jedrek (Singapore), Jazeman Jaafar (Malaysia), IP Chin (Malaysia), Marlon Stockinger (the Philippines) and Pete Thongchua (Thailand), who shared their passion towards car culture, car racing and how they find their line in motorsport.

Of course, it doesn’t stop there as the Ten Square Building in Singapore played host to 15 real exotic and classic cars that gamers are able to drive in the Gran Turismo series stacked inside the building, along with lighting features and a Digital LED display featuring Gran Turismo 7 colors and videos.

Sony also collaborated with one of the four “Heavenly Kings of Hong Kong”, superstar actor and singer Aaron Kwok, who shares his love for the Gran Turismo series and for car racing in general.

The hype for the series has never been bigger and fans in the region sure know how to throw a grand party.

Gran Turismo 7 is now available for the PS4 and PS5.
