Following a previous report that the file size for Horizon Forbidden West would be nearly 100 GB, data scraper PlayStation Game Size has given an update over the weekend, specifying the exact file size for the upcoming game.

Horizon Forbidden West File Size

Based on the data gathered, it would seem that the US version of the game will clock in at 85.913 GB, while the European version of the game getting a bigger 96.350 GB file size, possibly due to additional localization files and such.

This is pretty hefty, which is to be expected from Guerrilla’s upcoming title. Even without day one updates, the file size will most likely require that you delete some games on your system if you haven’t gotten an expansion just yet.

Take note that as specified, the file sizes are for the PS5, which might indicate that the PS4 may differ a bit depending on the number of files that can be compressed. Either way, Sony’s next exclusive is going to be a massive game in more ways than one.

Horizon Forbidden West will be available on February 18, 2022 for the PS4 and PS5. Pre-orders across local retailers are also available now.
