The Last of Us 2 is out in stores right now and despite all the leaks and review bombs, it has managed to maintain a fantastic review score on Metacritic. Some of us may have been a little too excited for the game and have gotten ourselves into a debt trap for acquiring the “Ellie Edition”, which also just released today.
Retailing for PHP14,000 locally, the Ellie Edition is not cheap at all, with a lot of other CE’s going for a cheaper price with nearly the same amount of bonuses. That said, if you are a fan of the game, then you probably cannot ask for anything more with this package. You’re getting a backpack, a vinyl record, and so much more paraphernalia that you probably won’t ever use, but would make for good display.
There’s a lot to see here, so I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Let’s start it off!
Warning: This post is image heavy.
The OUTER box is gorgeous.Quick peek at the contents from the back. That’s a lot of stuff. And the INNER box. Box-ception!
A lovely collectible Steelbook containing the game, Artbook, and thank you letter from Naughty Dog will greet you.
Other contents include a set of 6 pins, a set of 5 stickers, and a replica of Ellie’s bracelet, which you’ll also see again later.
An embroidered logo patch along with a 7″ Vinyl record featuring a couple of tracks from the OST.
A fully functional backpack with some button pins. I’m not sure if it can hold all of those crafting materials and weapons but it looks accurate at least!
The 12″ Ellie statue. Peep the arm tattoo and the bracelet! The details on the guitar look really good too.
The backpack details are quite exquisite as well. There are arrows and a machete to round off the figure. The statue is quite huge, with a DualShock controller for scale.

Would love to see a Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger, Lufia, and Breath of Fire 2 remake done in his lifetime.
