Legendary RPG Live A Live Coming To Nintendo Switch In July

Live A Live, first released back in 1994 as a Japan-exclusive title for the SNES, is getting a Western release on July 22, 2022 as it gets the full HD-2D treatment a la Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy for the Nintendo Switch.

Live A Live will feature character designs by renowned manga artists like Gosho Aoyama, Osamu Ishiwata, Yoshinori Kobayashi, Kazuhiko Shimamoto, Yumi Tamura, Yoshihide Fujiwara, and Ryouji Minagawa. Musical rearrangements will be handled under the supervision of none other than the original composer, Yoko Shimomura. Additionally, the original director Takashi Tokita, will oversee development as producer.

Here’s a short description of the game:

Seven time periods, seven protagonists, and seven gameplay variations—seven stories to experience in the order of your choosing. Each has unique elements and engaging battles, as well as moving narratives and tantalizing mysteries. Upon completing these seven stories, an eighth, the Middle Ages, will be unlocked.
What awaits our protagonists once all eight tales have been told…?

Live A Live will be available digitally for the Nintendo Switch on July 22, 2022.
