It’s been quite a while since we’ve had a proper look at the upcoming Monster Hunter Movie apart from stills so this time, we get a full trailer for it and… well, there’s a Diablos and a Rathalos (and is that Gore Magala?) and a lot of gun action. It’s really something you’ve got to see to believe.

While we can’t really make up our mind about it yet, we’re giving props to the CG group behind this because Rathalos and Diablos are looking pretty good in comparison to the latest entry in the long-running franchise, Monster Hunter World. We also get a look at a couple of the weapons used in the trailer, like the Bow and the Dual Blades, which seem to be faithful to the game.
Game to Movie transitions haven’t always been smooth, with the recent Sonic the Hedgehog movie being surprisingly well-received by the general public. We’re hoping that this is the same case for Monster Hunter when it releases in December.
