Overwatch 2 Cross-progression Ensures all Your Cosmetics Get Carried Over

Blizzard has announced that Overwatch 2 will be getting cross-progression, allowing players to merge multiple accounts into a single profile.

Starting August 17, players can start to carry over progression and in-game cosmetics, ensuring that all items and progress gained from playing the game will be carried over when Overwatch 2 launches on October 4.

If you’re planning to undergo this process, you’ll need a account regardless of what platform you choose to play on. Playing and progressing on PC, for example, will be saved to the account, and will be made available should you choose to play on other platforms as well.

Blizzard warns that there will only be one opportunity to merge accounts, which means that players planning to do so must double-check before confirming the merge.

A lengthy and detailed FAQ page has been prepared by the Blizzard team, answering any and all questions about account merging. You can check out the FAQ page HERE.
