Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 7, along with the recent remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 will be receiving next-gen visual enhancements for both the PS5 and Xbox Series. No release date or window was announced, just a vague “later this year” statemtent.

If you currently own the game, then you don’t have to worry because the upgrade will cost you the low price of free! Capcom did not mention what specific upgrades the games will be getting but it would be safe to say that apart from a resolution boost, these games will also get frame rate enhancements as well.

PC players will also reap the benefits of this update and will get the upgrade patch alongside the next-gen versions when they release.
