Resident Evil reboot movie delayed to November

If you’ve booked a trip back to Raccoon City for September, you may want to take a raincheck on that since the upcoming Resident Evil movie has been delayed to November 24.

In a report according to Variety, Sony have delayed the film by 2 months so that it wouldn’t coincide with another release happening on the same day, which is Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Officially titled Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, this reboot features an all-new cast led by Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Avan Jogia as Leon Kennedy, and Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield. The movie will be faithful to the first 2 games of the series, which fans should surely watch out for.

More Resident Evil is on the way, courtesy of the upcoming Netflix animated series, Infinite Darkness, as well as Resident Evil Village, will will release on May 7 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
