Devolver Digital and Terrible Toybox have announced that Return to Monkey Island, the sequel to the classic point-and-click adventure games of old, is coming in 2022.

There isn’t much information to go by at the moment, but what we do know is that Ron Gilbert, the creator of the franchise, is back and ready to go for this latest adventure. It will be the first time Gilbert will be working on the game since 1991 so fans of the franchise will certainly want to keep an eye out for this one.

Some of the confirmed cast members include Ron Gilbert and Dave Grossman (Designers and Writers), Michael Land, Peter McConnel, and Clint Bajakian (Music), and Dominic Armato (Guybrush Threepwood).

No platforms have been announced for now but it would be safe to assume that the game will be coming out on PC.
