RoboCop is getting a new game in 2023

Apart from his appearance in Mortal Kombat 11, its been a while since we had an actual RoboCop game. That’s about to change, as Nacon have announced that a new game will come in 2023 called RoboCop: Rogue City.

In partnership with MGM and Teyon, developers of the 2019 Terminator Resistance release (not a good game, if you’re wondering), the game will be based on the original films, which hopefully means that fans can hopefully look forward to this.

Nacon CEO Alain Falc commented on the upcoming title, saying that “We’re delighted to be teaming up with MGM to offer a new vision of a popular franchise that was created over 30 years ago. This game is the perfect fit to pursue our aim of offering different gaming experiences to the widest possible audience.”

The official overview of the game reads as follows:

Become the iconic part man, part machine, all cop hero as you attempt to bring justice to the dangerous, crime-ridden streets of Old Detroit. Armed with your trusty Auto-9, factory-built strength, years of experience on the force and a variety of tools at your disposal, you will fight forces seeking to destroy the city you call home in an all new first-person, explosive hunt for the truth. You have the power to decide how to fulfill prime directives in your own way, but as the story unfolds proceed with caution because corruption and greed know no limits.

RoboCop: Rogue City is scheduled for a 2023 release for the PC and consoles.
