Heart Machine will need more time for polish.

Previously scheduled to launch later this month, Heart Machine and Annapurna Interactive have delayed the upcoming PlayStation / PC title Solar Ash to a December 2, 2021 release date.

The developers have announced that the delay is necessary to “get the last pieces of polish and bug fixes into the game”, which is another title that has been negatively impacted by the pandemic.

Solar Ash is the next game from creators of the award-winning 2016 game Hyper Light Drifter, and is a 3D third-person action platformer filled with sunken cities, vast water shelves, dangerous lava zones and more. Players take on the role of a Voidrunner named Rei who nimbly traverses through these dangerous biomes. Journey through a surreal, vivid, and highly stylized world filled with mystery, wild high-speed traversal, endearing characters, and massive enemy encounters.

Solar Ash is now set to release on December 2, 2021 for the PS4, PS5, and PC.
