Outside of the official announcements from Capcom, some media previews have come pouring in about Street Fighter 6, confirming some systems that will certainly mean a lot to competitive players of the game.

As part of the recently concluded Summer Game Fest, an early build of the game was available to select press and content creators and according to Gamespot’s Tamoor Hussain and YouTuber Maximillian Dood, the latest installment in the series will be using Rollback net code and will have cross-play with other platforms.

Rollback net code is especially important for playing online against other players as this is currently one of the better systems that allow players to navigate online matches with very minimal input delay, preserving the experience.

Cross-play will be equally as important, and since Street Fighter 6 will now also launch on the Xbox Series, the online community for the game will indeed be bursting with competition from day 1.

Recently, Capcom revealed that the latest character to join the roster will be Guile, which lines up with a recent roster leak that revealed some new and returning fighters like Zangief, E. Honda, and Dhalsim.
