The first of the two indie titles announced today on Playstation State of Play, Subnautica Below Zero gets a deep dive into its gameplay, mechanics, and story. Announced on the PS5, it makes use of its DualSense controller featuring haptic support and 4K/60FPS on performance mode. Expect beautiful textures amidst its already great visuals and feel the danger with the haptic feedback on the DualSense.

Also note that if you’ve already acquired a physical and digital copy of the original Subnautica, the purchase of Subnautica Below Zero entitles you to a free PS5 upgrade of the original game. So if you downloaded Subnautica last month on the Play at Home initiative, you will get the upgrade with the purchase of its sequel.

Subnautica Below Zero will be out for the PS4 and PS5 on May 14.
