Trails of Cold Steel 3 was released just recently in the west, October 2019 to be exact so announcing a 4th game may sound as a bit of a surprise and given that the announcement was made during April 1 didn’t help the cause at all.
But alas, it’s official, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV is set to release for the PS4 in late 2020, and to follow for the Switch and PC in 2021. Check out the announcement trailer below!
Along with the announcement, a day one edition called the “Frontline Edition” was also announced for the PS4 and Switch, which includes a soundtrack, “The Black Records” artbook, and a reversible cover sheet.
For collectors out there, you’ll be happy to know that there will be a Collectors Edition as well, which has all the contents of the Frontline edition but also includes a collectible steelbook, a cloth poster, and 7 art cards all enclosed in a collectors box.
Fans of the series will not want to miss this latest installment in the long running and highly underrated RPG franchise!
