Epic Games has announced that The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience is now available to pre-load on the PS5 and Xbox Series for free and will be fully available to use once it is revealed during The Game Awards in a couple of days.

The official overview for The Matrix Awakens demo describes it as “a glimpse into the future of interactive storytelling and entertainment with Unreal Engine 5” and will feature both Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in an experience that’s created by the team members of the original movie.

We’re not quite sure what to expect here but either way, it would be pretty cool to see how the games we play can evolve thanks to Unreal Engine 5.
