Capcom Singapore has officially announced a collaboration with Mapua University and Prime Manpower to deliver a pioneering program on Games, Intellectual Property & Digital Culture in the Philippines.

The initiative aims to prepare the next generation of creators, engineers, and business professionals for careers in the global gaming industry.

Capcom Launch Events in January 2026

The partnership will kick off with a signing ceremony on January 26, 2026, followed by a special lecture on January 27 at Mapua University in Metro Manila. The lecture, led by Motoki Okuyama, General Manager of Capcom’s Intellectual Property Department in Japan, will cover:

  • IP rights in game development (characters, music, programs, systems)
  • Expansion of game IP into merchandise, anime, movies, e-sports, and licensing
  • Importance of IP protection and strategy in the global market
