SEGA has announced that the recently released remastered version of Persona 5 Royal for the PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch, and Steam has surpassed 1 million units sold as of December 1, 2022. This sales milestone covers both physical and digital copies sold, and as such, the game has now sold 3.3 million copies worldwide including the previous PS4 release. SEGA has announced its participation in two of the largest gaming events in Southeast Asia—Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit or ESGS in the Philippines and the Thailand Game Show. At the SEGA booth, visitors will be able to play demos of Sonic Frontiers, an action-adventure game in new frontiers releasing on November 8, and Persona 5 Royal, an RPG created by Atlus. Original shopping bags will be distributed around the booth, and visitors that will play the demo will receive an original sticker! Later today, a Nintendo Direct Mini will be happening that will focus on upcoming third-party games coming to the system. Alongside the event, rumors have begun sprouting up, predicting the titles that will be announced during the show. In particular, NieR: Automata and Persona have been the subject of these rumors, and while nothing has been officially confirmed, it is worthwhile to mention that the rumor comes from Spanish Journalist Nacho Raquena, who correctly predicted the date and focus of this particular Nintendo Direct.
