Square Enix has already announced that the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be experiencing physical copy delays due to the COVID-19 outbreak situation happening all over the world. Locally, since malls are closed and no other retailers will be operating at that time, a digital purchase is likely the only way you’ll get to play the game on day one.

That has not stopped people (and some retailers) from jumping the gun on releasing the game, even if it means breaking the mandated street date for the title.

A Reddit user going by the name of NateLo22 has posted the copy of the game that he got early, stating that he had ordered and received it early. Shown below are the contents from the Deluxe Edition of the game, which gets you an artbook, a collectible steel case, and a mini soundtrack apart from the base game.

Square isn’t the only one experiencing delays due to the COVID-19 outbreak as Capcom has also put out word for Resident Evil 3, which is scheduled to release on April 3.

We still don’t know much about the PS5. Apart from the hardware and specs, two of the more important things like price and launch titles are still a bit of a secret for now. We know for sure that Godfall, a looter slasher game from Gearbox, will be coming out in the same release window as the PS5 but whether it is a launch title is to be determined.

Quantum Error, a cross generation PS4 and PS5 game, is the next title to be announced and it is from TeamKill Media. Check out the announcement teaser below:

Quantum Error is dubbed as a cosmic horror FPS, with some Dead Space vibes going for it. As of writing, it is not determined to be a PS5 launch title yet but given that it will be releasing on the PS4 may give us some hint that it could be releasing not too long after the launch of the PS5.

It’s nearly that time of the month when PS Plus owners look forward to what the latest free games will be and for April, it seems that the list includes a critically acclaimed PS4 exclusive and one of the best games of the generation.

An unlisted video (which is now private) from PlayStation Access have revealed the upcoming PS Plus titles to be Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Dirt Rally 2.0, both highly rated titles that I’m sure everyone would love to have for free.

As leaks go, it would be best to err in the side of caution especially when the initial release date of the video was set to be April 1, 2020. Of all days, that’s probably one day where everyone has to question everything they see.

It won’t be too long now, so we can just wait for the official announcement from Sony themselves but let’s cross our fingers and hope for the best because Uncharted 4 for free is quite a catch!

A Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba game is coming to the PlayStation 4 and is being developed by CyberConnect2, known for their most recent outing in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

Details are scarce at this point, but there is some footage that’s been revealed in the form of an announcement trailer and a developer update. Check them out below!

We’ve also been given an sneak peek at a battle royale themed mobile game for iOS and Android titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Keppu Kengeki Royale, scheduled to release later in the year.

Aniplex will be publishing the title while Ufotable and Shueisha will work together to produce the game. No specific release date has been announced but we can expect the game to release in 2021 based on the videos above.

Reports have surfaced that the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which is the first installment in the multi part remake, will be spread over 2 discs and will eat up at least 100GB of storage on your PS4.

Images that show the Korean game cover for Final Fantasy 7 Remake from Reddit show the storage space needed to install the upcoming release, scheduled for April 10, 2020.

100GB is not a joke, especially when most systems ship with 500gb and 1TB variants unless you’ve upgraded your Hard Drive to allow more storage space. Still, this is Final Fantasy 7 Remake we’re talking about, so clearing up enough space for this should not be a hard thing to do, especially for a potential Game of the Year candidate.

Still on the fence for this upcoming epic? Check out our impressions of our time with the game from Tokyo Game Show last year!

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Hands-On Impressions from Tokyo Game Show 2019

The upcoming Avengers game may have been delayed all the way back to September 4 but as early as today, you may expect some pre-order notices to start popping up across retailers because Bandai Namco in partnership with Square Enix have announced the Deluxe and the collectors edition dubbed as “Earth’s Mightiest Edition” launching alongside the standard game.

Take a peek at the trailer below:

Digital pre-orders have started and if you’re Team Digital like many, you’ll be glad to know that guaranteed beta access, a Marvel Legacy Outfit pack, and an exclusive nameplate will be included in your pre-order. These Marvel Legacy Outfits are inspired by moments from the comics that defined who each Super Hero was as they first embraced their powers to become the icons they are today.

PlayStation nation is in for a treat as you’ll be receiving additional pre-order bonuses, including a Ms. Marvel “Talk to the Hand” emote and “Marvel’s Avengers: Hex Pattern Logo” dynamic theme if you pre-order via the PlayStation store and will set you back $59.99 or roughly around PHP3,000.

That’s not all, as an exclusive Digital Edition on the PlayStation Store includes an exclusive Ms. Marvel nameplate and 1,000 credits which can be used towards Super Hero customizations. This edition will also allow players 72 hours of early access before the game launches and will cost $69.99 or around PHP3,500.

Across all platforms, pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition will include an exclusive Obsidian Outfit pack, six exclusive Obsidian nameplates, and 72-hour early access, all for $79.99 or around PHP4,000.

For collectors such as myself, there’s really no other way to go except for the Earth’s Mightiest Edition, which is a massive package that will cost you a whopping $199.99 or around PHP10,000.

Earth’s Mightiest Edition features a full color 12” statue of Captain America designed by the artisans at Gentle Giant, a copy of the Deluxe Edition game, an exclusive SteelBook case, Hulk Bobblehead, Mjolnir Keychain, Black Widow’s Belt Buckle, Iron Man’s Prototype Amor Blueprints, Kamala Khan’s Honorary Avenger Pin, a commemorative Avengers group photo, and 72-hour early access.

Marvel’s Avengers is scheduled to release on September 4, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.

SlidEout 3019 by gaffreman

User gaffreman made this very accurate homage to the classic Playstation racing IP Wipeout and it plays just as awesome as it looks. If we didn’t know any better, we’d think that this was a real Wipeout level!

Lord of the Rings’ Minas Tirith by Bevis2

Fans of the classic book and movie series The Lord of the Rings will very likely remember Minas Tirith, that vast and majestic city fully featured in Return of the King. Here, user Bevis2 faithfully recreates that breathtaking city as accurate as you can get, it’s like you can actually hear the Lord of the Rings theme play!

Prometheus by ROTHNIEL

A first person shooter that oozes with awesomeness. Prometheus has that sci-fi look that gives off some Halo vibes and the fact that this is actually even possible in Dreams Universe makes us excited to know what else other Dreamers can create!

Dead Space by Quinn Barnett

We’ve got to give kudos to user Quinn Barnett for being able to recreate a scene from the classic space survival horror Dead Space. Fans will remember this scene being the beginning of the game with Isaac Clarke beginning his rescue mission and entering the already doomed SS Ishimura. It’s highly accurate, even the tense and dreadful atmosphere of the original game is there!

Indeed, you can only be limited by your imagination and once Dreams Universe go live, we’ll be able to see more outrageous and mind-blowing creations from across the globe. Stay tuned for our review!

A ton of new Final Fantasy 7 Remake screenshots just dropped and this time, showcasing some cool new action sequences from Tifa, the return of the Nail Bat, and a closer look at some of the Summons in game!

First off, we take a look at Tifa in all her knuckle busting glory. She’s as capable as ever and to be honest, she’s looking fantastic and frankly, perfect for this game.

A fan favorite weapon makes a return as Cloud is set to wield the Nail Bat once again! One thing to note is that if you equip a weapon, your appearance will change in and out of battle.

Next up is the quest menu, where your party will be able to fulfill a host of different quests that will reward you as you finish them. You’ll also be able to take on “Battle Reports” from Chadley, a research trainee under Hojo. Finish these off and Chadley will open up various Materia for purchase.

A closer look at Red XIII shows him in majestic form, although he has been captured and is being experimented on by Hojo from Shinra.

Lastly, we get a more detailed look at some of the Summons in game, more specifically Cactuar, Carbuncle, and Choco Chick. These Summons are available upon pre-ordering certain versions of the game.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is scheduled to release on April 10, 2020 as a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 4.

Sakura Wars, a PS4 exclusive title, finally gets a release date in the West as it is currently set for April 28, 2020 and will feature Japanese voice acting with English, French, German, and Spanish subtitles.

You can check out the announcement trailer below:

If you didn’t know about it yet, Sakura Wars is based off the Anime of the same name and the game is a mix of dating sim and an action RPG playstyle, allowing free movement across the battlefield instead of its traditional tactical roots. Characters in the game will include Captain Seijuro Kamamiya, Sakura Amamiya, Claris Snowflake, Anastasia Palma, Hatsuho Shinonome, and Azami Mochizuki among others.

A launch edition has also been announced and will include reversible artwork from both the western and Japanese release as well as a sticker set that features the main characters from the game.

The Last of Us 2 could arguably be Sony’s biggest game launch this year and almost everyone will have to wait until May to get their hands on the follow up to one of the greatest games ever. If somehow you find yourselves around Boston for PAX East on February 27, you might be lucky enough to play a demo of the game!

Naughty Dog announced on their Twitter page that attendees of PAX East will be able to get a hands-on experience with the game BUT you’ll need to book an appointment via the Experience PlayStation App (iOSAndroid). You won’t be the only one, so get ready to battle it out for that spot.

Along with this announcement, Naughty Dog also announced a restock of the Ellie Edition of the game, which was previously sold out within minutes of announcement. There’s no indication that the restock will happen outside of the US and Canada so if you have connections and you really want this as part of your collection, now is the time to hit them up as pre-orders will start on February 13 at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET across various retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, Target, and EB games for $229.99.
