Netflix Games announced, to launch on Android devices tomorrow
Announced just a few months ago, The streaming giant will start to roll out Netflix Games, which will be made available for free to all subscribers along with all members of the account (except kids profiles), and best of all, no ads and no additional fees or in-app purchases on top of your current subscription.
VP of Game Development for Netflix Mike Verdu has announced that the Netflix Games rollout will happen on Android devices starting tomorrow at 1 AM (for the Philippines) and on iOS devices later this year.
Netflix Games List of Games
The current list of games will start small, with only a handful to play with when it launches. Some titles will require an internet connection but some will also be available to play offline, making sure that the offerings will cater to all types of gamers.
The current list of games, which are also localized in the many languages that are available on Netflix, are as follows:
- Stranger Things: 1984 (BonusXP)
- Stranger Things 3: The Game (BonusXP)
- Shooting Hoops (Frosty Pop)
- Card Blast (Amuzo & Rogue Games)
- Teeter Up (Frosty Pop)
Netflix has also acquired Oxenfree devs Night School Studio to develop games for the streaming service, so more offerings should be on the way, hopefully sooner rather than later.
