Heroes of the Storm Ends New Content Development, Blizzard Announces
Blizzard has announced that it will be focused simply on seasonal rolls and hero rotations for Heroes of the Storm, along with client sustainability and bug fixing, as the company has no plans for new “for-purchase” content to be added.
This marks the end of new content updates for the game and was announced in a blog post that recognized the seventh-year anniversary of the game.
In the future, we’ll continue seasonal rolls and hero rotations, and while the in-game shop will remain operational there are no plans for new for-purchase content to be added. Future patches will primarily focus on client sustainability and bug fixing, with balance updates coming as needed.

Blizzard thanks the community of passionate games and has prepared a token of appreciation for all players, an Epic Arcane Lizard mount, which will be gifted to everyone in the next patch.
Heroes of the Storm will join StarCraft and StarCraft II, which ended new content development back in 2020.
Blizzard Entertainment is now focused on titles like Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, and the recently launched Diablo Immortal.
