EA Announces 3 New Star Wars Games From Respawn Entertainment

EA has announced that their partnership with Lucasfilm Games will soon result in 3 “all-new, world-class gaming experiences set within the beloved Star Wars galaxy.”

Respawn Entertainment, known for Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, will be at the helm of these new titles, which include the next game in the Star Wars Jedi franchise, a new FPS game, and a Strategy game.

Working on the next game in the Star Wars Jedi franchise, presumably Fallen Order 2, is Game Director Stig Asmussen and his team, who is joined by 2 new teams that will assist with development. On the FPS front, Game Director at Respawn Peter Hirschmann will be in charge, and for the Strategy game, industry veteran Greg Foerstch and his newly formed studio Bit Reactor will be taking the lead.

“We are excited to continue working with the superbly talented developers at Respawn,” said Douglas Reilly, VP, Lucasfilm Games. “They have demonstrated excellence in telling epic Star Wars stories along with best-in-class gameplay across different genres and we are looking forward to bringing more amazing experiences to the galaxy far, far away.”

Work has already begun on these new games but apart from this reveal, there are no concrete details yet – title, release window, platforms, and more – so we should expect more announcements coming soon.
