Starting August 11, the latest Battle Royale title from Ubisoft will be launching for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Hyper Scape is currently in open beta for the PC and will open to a much wider audience shortly after open beta ends on August 2.

Announcement of the first season entitled “The First Principle” comes with a trailer, which you can view below:

Season One kick-starts the overarching Hyper Scape narrative: There is a mystery in the Hyper Scape created by Prisma Dimensions that players will have to solve. Season One introduces Memory Shards that players can collect to discover more about certain characters and events. Every week, a new Memory Shard will be hidden in the game world, for players to find and collect. In addition to Memory Shards, comics will be released during Season One and following Seasons, building Hyper Scape’s story.

Along with the console launch, Hyper Scape will be offering cross-progression on all platforms, allowing players to pick up right where they left off from the open beta. Hyper Scape will also introduce a brand new mid-range weapon, the Dragonfly, as well as a new hack, Magnet, which can be used to trap unsuspecting contenders.

The first Battle Pass will also be available and will include a ton of customization items through a free and premium track, which will cost 950 Bitcrowns, the in-game currency.

For more information about Hyper Scape, you can visit the official website.

While not in the form of a game that everybody has been hoping for, this is still welcome news indeed as Ubisoft and Netflix are teaming up to bring a Splinter Cell anime to life.

As per a report from Variety, the series has been confirmed for a two-season, 16-episode run and Derek Kolstad, one of the creators of John Wick, will be in charge as writer and executive producer. Apart from this, no other details have been specified, even as to who will play the role of Sam Fisher or when the series will air.

This is the closest thing fans of the franchise will have, seeing as Ubisoft has no interest (yet) on reviving the game, so we’ll take anything we can get. Rest assured, if the previous forays into Anime from Netflix are any basis for success, then we can very much look forward to this when it launches.

Ubisoft has recently announced two titles that will be coming to mobile in August – Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad and Brawlhallla.

Ubisoft has released a new trailer entitled Eivor’s Fate for their upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title, which is scheduled to release on November 17.

A synopsis of the trailer is described as follows:

Driven from Norway by wars and dwindling resources, Eivor is a Norse Viking raider who gathers their clan to sail to England in search of a new home. Facing strong resistance in England, Eivor is forced to confront not only enemies in battle, but also internal conflicts. in the fight to save their clan and attain glory, Eivor may stand to lose everything.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will release first on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC but will offer free next-gen upgrades when available. If you’re particularly excited about the game, then you’ll want to get yourself the Collectors Edition.

When Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases on November 17, players will have a chance to step into the shoes of Eivor, who can either be male or female depending on player preference. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey employed a similar system, but had you choose between Alexios and Kassandra, with story variations between the two.

In a recent episode of IGN News Live, Youssef Maguid from Ubisoft offered a telling fact about how romance options will be handled in Valhalla. It was a short statement, but something that opens up the game to numerous possibilities.

According to Maguid, “there are multiple people you can romance in the game, and you can romance all of them as either gender.”

While no other details were given like how many possible romance options there are and will it lead to anything more than that, it is at least clear that whichever gender you choose, you won’t be missing out on any action that the game will give you. This is a major change from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and we can only imagine for now how the story and the world will open up based on this change.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is scheduled to release on November 17 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions coming in a launch titles.

Ubisoft Forward treated us to great reveals about the biggest upcoming games from the company. There was a lot to look forward to, from Watch Dogs: Legion to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to Far Cry 6, but of course Ubisoft had also given everyone a fantastic reason to watch and that was the chance to get a copy of Watch Dogs 2 for free.

Until technical issues started happening.

It turned out well for everyone, I suppose, because now the game is free to claim for EVERYONE, even if you didn’t tune into the show, which was especially hard to do in this region of the world because it happened at 3AM.

Simply head on over to the Ubisoft Forward site, click on “Redeem Now” on the Watch Dogs 2 section, and log into your Uplay account. Simple as 1 2 3 actually, and you didn’t even have to stay up until 3AM.

Additionally, there are in-game rewards such as a Ubisoft Forward Jacket for Watch Dogs: Legion as well as a Moonlight Axe for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which you’ll receive as well once these games come out later this year.

Ubisoft didn’t specify any end date to the promo so it would be in your best interest to claim it while it’s still available!

It seems that all of the previous Assassin’s Creed Valhalla were true as today during Ubisoft Forward, it was announced that Valhalla is scheduled to be released on November 17 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and more importantly, will receive a free next gen upgrade for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X as part of its launch lineup.

Part of the leaks from the past week involved a ton of gameplay and with Ubisoft Forward, brand new gameplay was shown that highlights the new features that players can enjoy, including dual-wielding, raiding, assaults, and open-world activities.

Raids will be more action-packed and brutal than anything Assassin’s Creed has seen before, with players able to take advantage of a new visceral combat system that lets players bash, dismember, and decapitate foes. Eivor will be able to dual-wield axes, swords, and even shields against the greatest variety of enemy types ever seen in Assassin’s Creed.

More importantly, stealth aspects have been incorporated into the gameplay once again, allowing Eivor to blend in with the surroundings and with the return of the Hidden Blade, assassinate targets with deadly precision.

Apart from the game, the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla experience can be had through various mediums with the following details:

  • On July 17, a seven-song EP taken from the official soundtrack featuring original compositions from Jesper Kyd and Sarah Schachner as well as an original song by Einar Selvik, will be available to listen to on Spotify and purchase on iTunes.  Spotify pre-save and iTunes pre-order is now available and the full soundtrack will be released at a later date.
  • The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Geirmund’s Saga novel, written by Matthew J. Kirby, will tell an original story set in the world of the game. Players will discover the epic tale of Geirmund Hellskin, a man determined to prove his worth as a Viking and a warrior who joins the ranks of King Guthrum’s army to participate in the invasion of England. The book cover will be revealed on reknowned Korean artist Jung Gi Kim’s Instagram page in late July.
  • Dark Horse Comics will release ‘Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Song of Glory’, a comic series written by Cavan Scott, illustrated by Martin Tunica, and colored by Michael Atiyeh. In this prequel to the game, fearless Vikings Eivor and Sigurd embark on separate adventures to show their mettle and seek glory. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Song of Glory #1 (of three) will be in comic shops on October 21, 2020.
  • Finally, the Art of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and the Art of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Deluxe Edition will invite readers on a visual journey through the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla—A world defined by the harsh beauty of Viking life, rich with fascinating characters and breath-taking landscapes. This book offers an enticing collection of art and commentary that is sure to attract returning fans and newcomers alike.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is scheduled for a November 17 release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions available during launch.
