Niantic has announced Peridot, a brand-new game in development from the minds behind Pokemon GO.

Described as a real-world AR mobile game, the game aims to provide players with an experience similar to Tamagotchi and Neopets, where you can raise and care for an adorable one-of-a-kind creature called Peridots (or Dots for short).

Through the use of AR technology, you can go on walks and “explore the world together” while learning more about your pet and working with other players to “diversify their species.”
