Diablo Immortal has reportedly Earned over $49 Million Since its Release
Harsh criticism regarding monetization practices couldn’t hold Diablo Immortal down as the game has reportedly earned over $49 million across 10 million downloads.
According to a report collated by Mobilegamer.biz using Appmagic, Blizzard’s latest release is tracking ahead of Diablo III, which only sold $6.3 million in its first week and hit $10 million six weeks after launch.
Further into the report, Mobilegamer.biz goes on to say that Diablo Immortal reached its peak downloads figure at 1.32 million downloads by June 4 and within 1 week, total downloads grew to 6.85 million. Blizzard raked in $2.4 million on June 11 and after just 1 week, it ballooned to a total of $11.9 million.

The game has unfortunately been mired in controversy since launch, garnering a horrid Metacritic score from players criticizing its pay-to-win mechanism. Various content creators have gone on to spend thousands of dollars to show that fully kitting out your character will require an insane amount of money.
The game is scheduled to launch in the Asia Pacific regions on July 8, where we could be seeing a further bump in revenue once a deluge of players from countries like Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines gather to battle it out with the forces of Hell.
Diablo Immortal is now available worldwide for PC, iOS, and Android Devices. The game will launch in Asia Pacific on July 8.
