Stellar Blade Director Confirms New Game+ and Additional Costumes as Free Update

Experience Eve’s journey in Stellar Blade once more in New Game+.

The next big PlayStation 5 exclusive, Shift Up’s Stellar Blade, is highly anticipated for both its visuals and gameplay, and for fans looking for more out of the action game, there is some good news. Director Kim Hyung Tae has shared that Stellar Blade will be getting a New Game+ mode and additional costumes post-launch, allowing players to relive the adventures of Eve beyond the first time.

The news was first reported by Korean publication Ruliweb, and in addition, Kim also stated that the game will not feature any microtransactions to make things easier. The only exception is if Shift Up enters into a costume collaboration with other IPs, although there are no concrete plans as of now.

“We want to make it clear at this point that Stellar Blade will not require any additional expenses that gamers are not aware of beyond what they paid for the package. The only exception is if we create collaboration costumes with another company’s IP, those may be sold for a fee. Also, there is no New Game+ in the launch version, so please look forward to it being updated very soon,” said Kim.

Players can try out the first hour or so of the game with the demo. Players can jump into the very beginning of the game when Eve, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad is sent to Earth on a mission to reclaim the planet from the Naytiba, up to the first boss fight.

This first stage will include the tutorial phase to help you familiarize yourself with basic combat features as you explore post-war Eidos 7, a human city now infested by the Naytiba, giving you an early grasp of gameplay mechanics that will serve you throughout the game’s story.
