Housemarque has revealed that its upcoming single-player cinematic action game, Saros, will release on April 30, 2026 for PlayStation 5, with enhancements planned for PS5 Pro.

Originally scheduled to launch on March 20, 2026, the release date was announced in a new pre-order trailer, which highlights the game’s haunting narrative and intense action.

Saros – Story and Setting

Saros tells the haunting story of a lost off-world colony on Carcosa, set under the shadow of an ominous eclipse. Players step into the role of Arjun Devraj, a powerful Soltari Enforcer determined to uncover the truth and find who he is searching for.

The game promises a deep ensemble cast, with Rahul Kohli voicing Arjun, joined by Jane Perry (Returnal’s Selene Vassos), Ben Prendergast (Tyr in God of War: Ragnarok), David DeSantos, Adriyan Raye, and Shunori Ramanthan. NPCs will populate The Passage, a hub where players begin each run, offering unique perspectives and stories through hologram logs and audio logs.

Gameplay Features

True to Housemarque’s style, Saros brings back the studio’s signature “bullet ballet” combat, blending fast-paced shooting with cinematic flair. Players will face hostile Carcosan flora and fauna, uncovering their secrets through intense encounters.

A new mechanic, Parry, allows players to reflect projectiles back at enemies with precise timing, adding another layer of strategy to combat.
