Tony Hawk Crashes a Tony Hawk Pro Skater Cover Band Gig
Tony Hawk joined in on the fun over the weekend as he showed up to the gig of a cover band to sing a couple of songs with them.
The 900, described as “UK’s first and only Tony Hawk Pro Skater cover band,” performed at Signature Brew in London and was surprised to see THE man join them on stage to perform 2 iconic songs with them. Needless to say, both the band and the crowd were in for an unforgettable experience.
The band posted an update on their Twitter account, showing bits and pieces of the event as it happened.
“Not gonna lie, when we booked a Tony Hawk soundtrack cover band, we didn’t expect actual Tony Hawk to show up in London and cover Goldfingerwith them,” says the Signature Brew Twitter account, the venue that hosted the gig.
The skate legend himself enjoyed the experience immensely, retweeting a couple of videos of him onstage, with one already garnering over 3 million views as of writing.
It’s one thing to be a Pro Skater cover band, but it is obviously another thing to get the man himself to show up to your gig and jam with you.
Fans looking forward to more games from the skating legend will be saddened to know that a Pro Skater 3 and 4 remaster was planned but eventually scrapped when Vicarious Visions merged with Blizzard.
