Goldeneye 007 Might Be Making Its Way To Xbox Soon
Ringing in the new year is new hope that Goldeneye 007, the epic masterpiece from the Nintendo 64, might be making a comeback as an achievement list for the game has strangely appeared online, sparking rumors that we may see a release soon.
Goldeneye 007 Xbox Achievements Spotted
As spotted by resident deals guy Wario64 on Twitter, a listing on the TrueAchievements website shows a full list of the achievements of the game, tracking 1000 GS over 55 achievements. Additionally, the information also shows that this upcoming release is the original N64 version and not the revised version for the Xbox 360, which was eventually scrapped due to possible license issues.
At the moment, there is no evidence of it appearing on other platforms apart from the Xbox, at least based on what’s known so far.
This is very exciting for quite a number of reasons, but more so because of the impact that the game has, with many gamers praising it as one of the best multiplayer shooters ever made.
Nothing is for sure just yet, but this has the signs of something big in the making if true. We’ll finally get to see the legendary Goldeneye 007 game on a modern platform, presumably for the Xbox, and it remains to be seen if it’ll hit the PlayStation or even the Switch (via the NSO expansion pack) if this holds true.
As someone who has spent hundreds of hours on Goldeneye 007 back in 1997, count me in as one of the many excited fans if this pans out.
