Bandai Namco has announced the SAND LAND project, an upcoming effort that aims to introduce audiences to the world, characters, and vehicles of the Akira Toriyama original manga of the same name. Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. and Bandai Namco Studio Inc. have announced the first GYAAR Studio Indie Game Contest, held by Bandai Namco Studios’ indie game label, “GYAAR Studio,” for indie game creators outside the company. This contest will select (at most) one Platinum Award winner and seven other prize winners from a pool of game entries, including those in development, and award a total of up to 100 million yen in support funding. Just over a day ago, it’s been claimed that Scarlet Nexus, the next big outing for Bandai Namco which launches later this month, will be hitting the Xbox subscription service on day one. It seems that’s not the case anymore, as according to VGC, a Bandai Namco spokesperson has since denied the rumor.
