Forever called Dragon Age 4, Bioware has now officially revealed the title and logo of the next game of the series and it is called Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. As announced on the BioWare Blog, a short post explaining Dreadwolf can be seen, as fans of the series may know that it refers to Solas, one of your party members from the previous outing, Inquisition. The short snippet from BioWare is as follows: Solas, the Dread Wolf. Some say he might be an ancient elven god, but some say not. Others say a betrayer of his people…or a savior who now seeks to rescue them at the cost of your world. His motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable, earning him a reputation as something of a trickster deity—a player of dark and dangerous games. https://twitter.com/bioware/status/1532406536047407105 Related – The new Dragon Age will reportedly be a current-gen exclusive One more update…
Dragon Age 4 is still a long way out but as early as now, there could be an indication that the previous generation console may not see a launch of the latest from BioWare. As spotted by Faizan Shaikh on Twitter, the LinkedIn profile of Dragon Age’s lead player designer Daniel Nordlander shows credentials for a Dragon Age game for the PS5, Xbox Series X+S, and PC, which he’s worked on from October 2019 until October 2020. While this might be disregarded due to it coming from a source that isn’t in the usual rumor mill, Jeff Grubb of Venturebeat has corroborated this piece of information, saying that “I’ve also separately confirmed that EA is planning the game only for the new-gen systems.” https://twitter.com/FaizShaikh7681/status/1448371184513339393 In reality, this shouldn’t be too hard to imagine. As early as this year, many games are already leaving behind the previous generation consoles like Returnal…
Following the cancellation of Anthem Next, the small team working on the troubled live service relaunch was moved to the new Dragon Age title, in what is now being reported by Jason Schreier of Bloomberg as exclusively a single-player game. Returning to their roots with this title and the upcoming Mass Effect reboot, BioWare from the outset appears to be learning from their experiences with Anthem, for the better. From what is being said in the report, BioWare’s parent company Electronic Arts, have “removed all planned multiplayer components from the game”. Schreier observes that this is a “big pivot” and a “significant move” for the company who has made significant attempts to moving electronic gaming from the traditional model to “games as a service” model. https://twitter.com/jasonschreier/status/1365005940739743745?s=20 The shift in perspective in EA’s top brass didn’t happen until certain Star Wars properties were shifted back to a single player focus, such…
After teasing a big announcement, BioWare brought the goods at the recently concluded Game Awards 2020 and revealed a teaser trailer for the next Dragon Age game. It seems that the game doesn’t have an official title just yet, but is going by “The Next Dragon Age” for now. Check out the trailer below: https://youtu.be/W7x685DxMcw There isn’t much here yet, but anything new about this project is really welcome information at this point since it has been silent for the longest time. We hear good old Varric narrate through the video and we also see Solas, who is most probably going to be the main antagonist this time around. Don’t expect this anytime soon, and surely Dragon Age fans would want this to be good rather than rushed.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is an upcoming film that may seem intimidating if you’ve never immersed yourself in the long-running fantasy tabletop RPG. Starring the likes of Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Hugh Grant, and much more, the film goes live in cinemas nationwide on March 29 courtesy of Paramount Pictures. Intros out of the way, D&D: Honor Among Thieves is an incredibly entertaining fantasy adventure that does not require prior knowledge of the material it was adapted from (and rewards it generously if you do). It’s a heist film – think Ocean’s Eleven but with dungeons instead of hotels and dragons instead of Al Pacino (not too far away, I’d say). There are planning and prep montages, we got things going hilariously wrong, and we got specialized characters doing physics-breaking acrobatics. ‘Tis a bread-and-butter formula for sure, but who would’ve thought this would work so well when melded…
