Tencent Games and Lightspeed Studios have announced Code: To Jin Yong, the first Unreal Engine 5 open-world game from the company that is adapted from the martial arts novels of famed novelist, Jin Yong.

The game was revealed during Tencent’s 2022 game conference and will feature classic characters from Jin Yong’s works such as Yang Guo, Qiao Feng, Linghu Chong, and more.

Players can look to immerse themselves in the world of martial arts while witnessing spectacular techniques thanks to its physics system that allows for an accurate representation of these moves. The game will also feature the use of photogrammetry technology to provide stunningly realistic visuals.

Tencent has not provided a release window for the game except for a vague mention of releasing it “in the near future,” which could mean either later this year or sometime in 2023. No Platforms have been announced.

Lightspeed Studios is responsible for titles like PUBG Mobile and Apex Legends Mobile.
