Deathloop delayed to Q2 2021
One of the biggest titles that should have accompanied the PlayStation 5 launch this Holiday has been moved back to next year.
As announced by Arkane Lyon, the PS5 console exclusive Deathloop will need extra time to adjust from the work-from-home conditions that polishing the title will require.
With this delay, the PS5 loses one of its bigger launch titles and will have to make do with its remaining pieces like Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
As Arkane’s follow up to Dishonored, Deathloop “puts you in the role of Colt, a man with a unique problem. Every morning you wake up on the same beach with the same killer hangover, the subject of the same island-wide manhunt by the same entitled partyers. There’s only one way to free yourself from the loop, the island, and the cycle of slaughter: You’re gonna have to take out the eight people responsible for maintaining the loop. You’ve got to accomplish this nigh-impossible task before midnight, so you better get creative.”
Deathloop is now scheduled for a release in the second quarter of 2021.
