Backbone One – PlayStation Edition Announced for iPhone, Officially Licensed by Sony

Sony and Backbone have unveiled the Backbone One – PlayStation Edition, an officially licensed mobile controller for iPhones that will allow users to play their favorite PS games using Remote Play.

Priced at $99, the Backbone One – PlayStation Edition features the same design motif as the DualSense Controller, using white and black colors along with transparent face buttons, and can be used in conjunction with the Pulse 3D headset.

The controller can also be used to play app store games like Genshin Impact, Fantasian, and Call of Duty: Mobile, among others. Other streaming services that offer controller support such as Google Stadia and NVIDIA GeForce Now are also compatible.

Various PlayStation integrations are also built-in, allowing users to browse various playable game titles and custom glyphs based on the PlayStation shapes. It will also feature pass-through charging, a 3.5mm jack, and is powered by the mobile device so charging it is not required.

The Backbone One – PlayStation Edition is now available in limited territories – United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
