Acquisitions are the name of the game these days, and another huge one might go down soon as reports are surfacing that Amazon is reportedly planning to buy EA.

The report comes from For the Win (FTW), saying that rumors have been making the rounds for the past few weeks, but later today, an announcement will be made about Amazon’s formal offer to acquire the publisher.

Details are scarce, and no offer amount has been disclosed as of writing, but Amazon may potentially use various properties – Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Dead Space – to bolster their media offerings.

Apple and Disney have been listed as potential buyers as well.

If the report proves true, we may be hearing an official word soon, so we’ll have to wait and see how this report comes along.
