Genshin Impact Fanart Turns the Game Into an Impressive Turn-based JRPG

Genshin Impact has been a massive hit for HoYoverse, and with the recent release of the 3.0 update that brings the Sumeru Region along with the addition of the Dendro Element, players have once again flocked to tackle the new adventure.

Despite the game featuring superb character artwork, some artists have reimagined the game using pixel art, and it looks equally as awesome.

Freelancer Pixel Artist Ohodavi (@ohodavi on Twitter) posted this fantastic rendition of what Genshin Impact would look like as a turn-based JRPG with pixel art. The result? Fantastic!

You can see the party of Keqing, Aether, Ningguang, and a weirdly dressed Zhongli take on a Ruin Hunter. As the menu comes up, a team-up attack is chosen, which results in a flashy flurry of slashes that ends with Keqing striking down the foe.

You can check out the short 20-second clip below!

Ohodavi mentioned that this is just fanart and should not be mistaken for an actual game, something that is out of reach for the humble artist. Ohodavi also mentioned that it took 1 year to finish this up, averaging 2 hours per day of work.

It may have taken a while, but the result is undeniably impressive!

What do you think? Would you play a turn-based Genshin Impact game?
