Previously announced to release in Fall 2023 by Insomniac Games, it seems that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is targeting a September launch date as claimed by Venom voice actor, Tony Todd.

Todd, who is taking on the role of Venom in the upcoming game, replied to a tweet, saying that that launch date “looks like September,” even indicating a massive advertising push by August.

“Massive publicity coming in august. Commercials start dropping in august so I’m told.”

Todd shared another Tweet, saying that he wouldn’t release any more hints, and what he said might not even be true.

“No more hints about #Spiderman2 it was all a fever dream Blame it on jet lag who knows I might not even b #Venom“

“My lips are now underwater,” Todd added.

For now, this is all speculation, but a September launch date would put it on a collision course with Starfield. Given how big both games are anticipated to be, it could be wise for Sony to move things around to ensure maximum exposure.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is currently scheduled for Fall 2023.
