Brand new Action RPG 'Visions of Mana' Unveiled, Launching in 2024

Square Enix has announced that Visions of Mana, a brand new mainline installment in over 15 years, is coming in 2024 to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.

The game will return to the series’ action-RPG roots and take players on a new adventure with the protagonist Val, a soul guard assigned to protect his childhood friend, who has been chosen by the Faerie as the Alm of Fire to travel to the Tree of Mana and rejuvenate the mana flow.

The recently released trailer offers players a look at the newly imagined world of Mana, featuring action-packed gameplay and showcasing a vibrant world where players will be able to journey across a range of breath-taking environments, battle with an array of enemies and monsters including fan favorite Rabites, while exploring a world where the powers of nature and elemental spirits connect.

Story
In Tianeea, the Fire Village, everyone is preparing to celebrate the coming of the Faerie and the naming of an “alm.” Every four years, alms from around the world are chosen to travel to the Tree of Mana and rejuvenate the flow of mana power. A soul guard is also chosen to ensure the alms’ safe pilgrimage. Val is one such guard.
On the day of the Faerieʼs arrival, Val brings his childhood friend to the festival. As the sun falls beneath the skyline, all the spectators wait with bated breath, hoping to be chosen as an alm. The Faerie finally descends before Valʼs friend, appointing her the Alm of Fire.
The villagers bid them both farewell, praying for their success as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime.
