ESA Confirms That E3 is Officially Gone
The ESA has announced that the E3, or Electronic Entertainment Expo, is officially dead.
In a post shared throughout various social media outlets, the ESA left a message thanking everyone for the memories shared throughout the past years.
“After more than two decades of E3, each one bigger than the last, the time has come to say goodbye,” the message wrote.
Over the years since the pandemic, the event has had a hard time keeping up. The 2022 show was canceled, and while the 2023 event looked promising, it would eventually succumb due to a lack of participation from the biggest names in the industry like Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Ubisoft, SEGA, and many more.
Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest eventually took over the void that this industry event had left, and it remains to be seen how this full-on cancellation will affect the proceedings next year.
