Developer Pocketpair has announced the roadmap for Palworld, giving players a glimpse of what to expect from this hugely popular surprise hit.

Here’s a look at the Early Access Roadmap of Palworld, which is currently divided into three sections, with the developers aiming to address the most critical concerns first while also enumerating planned updates.

Addressing Critical Issues:

• Currently, numerous bugs have been identified, and we are prioritizing fixing those.
• Sometimes, the world date may experience rollbacks.
• The loading screen may persist when trying to load into worlds. …and so on.

Improvements to Implement ASAP

• Key configuration improvements.
• Improvements to base Pal AI and pathing.

Planned Future Updates

• PvP.
• Raid Bosses (End-Game Content).
• Pal Arena (PvP for Pals).
• Steam-Xbox Crossplay.
• Various Xbox Feature Improvements.
• Server Transfers and Migrations.
• Improvements to the Building System.
• New islands, Pals, Bosses, and Technologies.

One of the more interesting features planned for the game is the addition of endgame content in the form of Raid Bosses, along with PvP, which we assume is a very highly requested feature.

Steam and Xbox crossplay also sounds like a fantastic update, further expanding the audience and allowing all players to meet and play with each other in the game.

One thing that is not currently specified here is if Palworld will make its way to other platforms like the PlayStation and/or Nintendo Switch. A PS5 version could be on the cards, depending on how seriously you would interpret Shuhei Yoshida’s reply when asked for a PS5 version, simply saying “Yes” while tagging a partner development team member, Jingwen Zhu. At the moment, no PS5 version of Palworld has been confirmed.

Palworld is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via early access.
