Go-Go Town is a Cute Town Building Sim Looking to Launch in 2024
Go-Go Town is a town builder simulator from Australian developer Prideful Sloth, a five-person development team that has previously released titles such as Grow: Song of the Evertree and Yonder: the Cloud-Catcher Chronicles.
In Go-Go Town, players will play the role of a young mayor whose mission is to manage and build a fully-fledged town and its inhabitants. With the use of a few power tools to collect resources and build structures and some facilities, players will also get to experience the stories of the townsfolk in this charming title.
As your town grows, you can start to set out its proper layout, either by choosing to be a fully structured area or one with nature. Players can also gather and refine materials, build and maintain farms, automate production, and even use a variety of vehicles to go around town.
As your town grows, you’ll receive new tourists who will love your town and end up becoming residents. After a while, your town’s residents start contributing to ease your workload, and with each town upgrade, you can make your way up the town ranking list.
Go-Go Town will have single-player and up to 4-player couch co-op when it launches, but multiplayer is something that the developers are looking at as an additional feature post-launch.
Joel Styles, Director at Prideful Sloth states that miniature sets such as Duplo inspired the cute aesthetic. He anticipates around 10-20 hours of gameplay to get the most out of this experience.
Go-Go Town is currently in development and is scheduled for release in 2024.
