Konami has announced that the Silent Hill 2 Remake has now sold over 1 million units in less than a week.

The highly anticipated remake of the 2001 psychological horror classic was released on October 8, and current sales numbers recorded on October 11 suggest that it is a smash hit across media and players alike.

According to Niko Partners Research Director Daniel Ahmad, the original game took over a month to sell the same amount of copies.
